Fire department staff council

The Offenbach Fire Department of the City of Offenbach am Main is an independent department in which a separate staff council must be formed in accordance with the Hessian Staff Representation Act (HPVG). The majority of the 130 employees are civil servants who are deployed in the areas of the professional fire department, central control center, civil protection and disaster control and civil defense.

The Staff Council has a say in all important personnel and organizational matters. It monitors compliance with applicable laws, regulations, collective agreements, service agreements and administrative orders for the benefit of employees. The current focus is on participation in discussions on administrative reform and budget consolidation. Here, the Staff Council contributes the views of employees to working and project groups and attaches great importance to maintaining the best possible service for the citizens of Offenbach.
