Office for Cultural Management

The cultural policy directives on which the city's cultural work is based arise from the confluence of political decision-making, the expertise of the Office of Cultural Management and the institutions from the museums to the city library. As spokesperson for the 'Forum Kultur', the cooperation network of the city's cultural institutions, the experience and qualities of the institutions are incorporated into the work, as are local, regional, national and international insights and developments that those responsible for cultural management cultivate from their own activities and in exchange with those responsible for culture in a wider context.

Events, series and projects outside the institutions and the city's strategic cultural marketing are also located here. Despite its limited financial resources, the City of Offenbach is therefore at a respectable level in its work, especially when it comes to keeping its finger on the pulse of the times. This is reflected, among other things, in the events and project work of the Office for Cultural Management, whose range includes the street theater festival in the city center, the Theateressenz series, Offenbacher Kunstansichten and the multi-day Riviera music festival as well as other events.

An important part of cultural management is also providing intensive advice and support - for example on the topics of funding, inclusion and event applications - for small and large cultural associations, cultural initiatives and the independent scene in Offenbach.

The Office for Cultural Management is also responsible for all financial administration and technical services for the 'Forum Kultur' facilities and beyond. Administration and accounting are managed here for all the venues, as is the supervision of events etc. by the four-strong technical team, without which many of the projects offered by the city and its associations could not be realized at the level at which they are currently being implemented.
