Health advice in accordance with the Prostitutes Protection Act
The Prostitutes Protection Act (ProstSchG) aims to strengthen the self-determination, health protection and working conditions of women and men working in prostitution and to combat crime such as human trafficking and violence. An important component of the new regulations is health advice for prostitutes at the public health department.
Overview
The aim of health counseling within the framework of the Prostitutes Protection Act is to provide all persons working in prostitution with access to important information on health protection. As part of the counseling sessions, we offer individual support on a variety of topics that are important to those affected.
Depending on requirements, we provide information on contraception options and protection against sexually transmitted diseases. We also provide information on contraception and maternity protection to ensure health protection during a possible pregnancy. We also provide advice on the health risks of drug use in connection with working in prostitution. Our advice services are designed to promote the self-determination of those affected and to provide them with the best possible information about their rights and protection options.
