Recruitment examination for trainee teachers

Medical examinations are one of the main tasks of the public health department in accordance with the Hessian Law on the Public Health Service (HGöGD). The necessity of such examinations and the preparation of corresponding reports, certificates or attestations are defined by specific legal regulations.

The purpose of the medical certificate is to provide an assessment of whether premature disability is to be expected. It must not be older than twelve months at the time of employment.

A written order is required for the examination to be carried out. Please note that the official acts are subject to a fee.

Please bring the following documents with you to your appointment:

• The letter of appointment from the authority or institution, if it is not already available to the City Health Department
• An official photo ID (e.g. identity card or passport)
• Your vaccination record
• If applicable, your maternity passport
• Copy of existing medical documents, such as medical findings, certificates, treatment reports or expert opinions
• Copy of existing laboratory results, these must not be older than 3 months

Please also bring the following completed forms with you:

• Medical history form and personal declaration
• Release of confidentiality towards the client

The assessment is subject to a fee and is carried out on the basis of

• Section 19 of the Hessian Law on the Public Health Service (HGöGD)
• Hessian Administrative Costs Act
• the administrative cost regulations for the area of responsibility of the Hess. Ministry for Social Affairs and Integration (VwKostO-HSMI)

The fees will be invoiced to you for payment.

The assessment is carried out on the basis of the relevant laws

• §Section 1 (2) (10) of the Hessian Law on the Public Health Service (HGöGD)
• §Section 14 of the Hessian Act on the Public Health Service (HGöGD)
• Decree of the Hessian Ministry for Social Affairs and Integration
• Hessian Civil Service Act (HBG)
• Hessian School Act
