Age and marriage anniversaries

The Hessian Minister President congratulates those celebrating anniversaries of marriage and old ageon request with a certificate of congratulations on the following anniversaries:

50th, 60th, 65th, 70th and 75th wedding anniversaries, as well as on
90th, 95th, 100th and every other birthday.

On the 65th, 70th and 75th wedding anniversaries as well as on the 100th, 105th and every other birthday, the Federal President will also present a certificate at the request of the municipality of residence.

No further documents are required to apply for the certificates. If the transmission of the data has not been objected to (transmission block according to § 50 Para. 5 BMG) or an information block according to § 51 BMG exists, the municipality of residence will issue the certificates itself upon request or request them from the Hessian State Chancellery.

The date of the civil marriage or the completion of the respective year of life is decisive for the honor. Those to be honored must be resident in Hesse. Marriage anniversaries must not be permanently separated.

It is recommended that the application for a certificate of congratulations be submitted to the municipality of residence at least four weeks before the anniversary date.
